Life's pressures can overwhelm any of us at one time or another. We can help alleviate emotional issues and/or issues related to chemical dependency that face individuals, families and couples. Jewish Family Services Mental Health Network offers skilled, compassionate professionals who provide:

  • child, adolescent and adult services
  • individual counseling
  • family counseling
  • assessment/consultation
  • group therapy
  • support groups
  • (pre)marital counseling

  • issues related to substance abuse, etc.

Our goals have been designed to help...

  • Improve ability to function in relationships within the family as well as the community, and cope with the stress of daily living.
  • Teach problem solving skills in order to develop effective coping strategies, and discover positive ways of dealing with life stress.
  • Provide support and guidance to individuals and families while offering critical services.

All contacts with Jewish Family Services professionals are confidential. JFS staff members will assist you with immediate intake and assessment, offer short-term therapy and match your needs with services offered by the Network providers. Fees and insurance acceptance vary depending on each individual therapist. Sliding scale and pro-bono services are available upon request.

Support Groups

The Jewish Family Life and Group Services Program of JFS offers a wide range of support groups, covering issues such as bereavement, divorce, and caring for the caregiver, etc., designed to reach out to individuals, couples and families across the life cycle. Experienced counselors lead group sessions where group members share their concerns and develop coping strategies for the problems that they experience. Participation in a group can provide a sense of fellowship and support based on shared experiences and understanding.

We are responsive to community needs and will tailor our workshops and groups to meet the unique circumstances of individuals, families and organizations within the community. If you are looking for a caring and safe group environment in which to explore concerns and strategies for coping, please call JFS for more information.

Our group service delivery includes support and therapy groups, educational workshops, business and professional development. Our trained professional staff is comprised of social workers, educators, counselors, psychologists, Rabbis and chaplains.
