Jewish Family Services of Washtenaw County is a comprehensive social service agency that has served Washtenaw County for over 30 years. As a well-established organization, we look for partnerships with local businesses who want to make a positive impact on our community. There are many ways JFS can partner with your business that will increase employee morale, support your operations and raise awareness of your business name and brand.
VOLUNTEER
JFS has a robust volunteer program that offers an array of opportunities for your employees to volunteer to support their community. Programs include working in the food pantry or kitchen, delivering meals to homebound clients, help with moving in Newcomer families when they arrive, being a literacy tutor, providing social support for homebound older adults and more.
  • Participate in Events (Walk a Mile-have a team come and walk and raise money)
  • Join a JFS Committee or Community Advisory Council
  • Direct Service with Clients
EMPLOYMENT SUPPORT
JFS provides assistance to employers in search of motivated employees, and provides ongoing support to both employer and employee to ensure maximum productivity and job stability. Employers that work with JFS:
  • Receive referrals at no cost
  • May be eligible for the Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC) when hiring clients who have received public assistance in the past
  • Are matched with a diverse pool of job seekers with various professional skills and employment backgrounds
  • Work directly with JFS as we facilitate job readiness training
  • and retention support
  • Receive support from JFS as needed, including  administrative support with employee paperwork
EVENT SPONSORSHIP
We have several events where your business can be promoted both at the event, as well as in marketing leading up to and following the event. These include the popular Walk a Mile, Decades Dance, and Dinner with the Chef.
CORPORATE TRAININGS
JFS has an experienced staff that can provide employee trainings on a variety of areas, including Health and Wellness, and Teamwork and Leadership.
TRANSPORTATION
JFS has a strong reputation for providing reliable transportation to the community. Our fleet includes cars, handicap accessible vans and larger vehicles that transport up to 12 individuals. We can partner with you to provide transportation to individuals who need rides to their medical appointments or procedures, social/cultural outings, school or community activities, religious or other activities. An individualized schedule can be created based on your need.
INTERPRETATION AND TRANSLATION SERVICES
JFS offers interpretation and translation services for over 20 languages. Contact us to learn more and how we can serve your needs.
