As a Jewish human services organization rooted in the values of loving kindness and repairing the world, we are deeply committed to upholding the dignity and care of every individual, whomever and wherever they may be. The brutal attacks carried out by Hamas one year ago shocked our collective conscience and broke our hearts. Now, as Jews around the world celebrate Rosh Hashanah and prepare for Yom Kippur, we pause to reflect on how we at JFS can best honor the memory of those who lost their lives and support those who continue to endure daily threats of terror.

While we hold out hope for the cessation of violence, the safe return of hostages to their families, and the rebuilding of shattered communities, our dedicated staff continues to work tirelessly to support the most vulnerable in our community—addressing both physical and emotional needs.
