Volunteers are engaged in every area of the agency, from helping new families resettle from a foreign country to stocking and distributing food in the pantry. Volunteer Opportunites

FOOD PANTRY
Various roles include organizing and stocking the pantry, preparing grocery packages for families, providing community members with their pick up orders and delivering food to community members at home.
Available at Ann Arbor location.

SHALOM KITCHEN
Kitchen Assistants support our chef with preparing and packaging meals for homebound seniors, individuals with chronic illness and others in need.

REFUGEE RESETTLEMENT
There are various opportunities to support our clients who are new to this country. Volunteer roles include welcoming families at the airport, supporting entrepreneur artisans and chefs at market days, assist with in-kind donations, youth mentoring, bus utilization training, assist with searching for new vehicles and more.

​ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE
Provide support to our ESL teachers in helping newcomers learn English. Virtual and in-person options are available. No certification is necessary.

​OFFICE SUPPORT
Work in one of our many program areas that utilize volunteers to provide administrative support. Tasks include: Talking with clients on the phone with an interpreter, scheduling meetings, scanning and copying documents and database entry.
