JFS works with refugee youth and other eligible populations in the process of integration into life in Michigan. Services include education and support services; all geared toward achieving social adjustment and integration for refugee youth.​

Refugee Youth Mentoring Program
Promotes positive civic and social engagement and support individual educational and vocational advancement as well as social engagement, education and connection to community. Provides one-on-one mentoring, ELL, support groups, and after school tutoring hosted by volunteers.

Afghan Youth Mentoring Program
​Promotes positive civic and social engagement and support individual educational and vocational advancement as well as social engagement, education and connection to community. Provides one-on-one mentoring, ELL, and after school tutoring hosted by volunteers. Creates monthly newsletters with relevant information to be sent to youth and their families. ​

Refugee Summer Youth Group
Summer youth program that runs between 8-10 weeks that focuses on civic engagement, social support, community connection, and career/education planning.

• One-on-one school tutoring, held during the school year.
• Youth Scoop Newsletter: monthly newsletter sent to youth who are enrolled in services.
• Thrive Counseling Services: provides therapy and group programming to refugee and immigrant youth in the community.
• Refugee School Impact ensures that ORR-eligible children are prepared to succeed in formal schooling, promote access to child care, strengthen academic performance, and aid the social adjustment of newly arriving refugee youth and their families.
• Monthly School Consultation: With JFS, Ypsi schools, and Ann Arbor schools to discuss challenges, barriers, and best practices. 

• One-on-one school tutoring, held during the school year.
